About the Author
Vukota Boljanovic, Ph.D., has more than 40 year of experience in applied engineering in the aircraft and automotive industries as well as in education. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and worked in Europe for many years in both academia and industry, including as a Professor of Aerospace Engineering and later as Vice President for Research and Development for a major aircraft company. He has performed extensive research in development and manufacturing engineering, including the impact of design modification on tools, dies, and processes selection, aircraft assembly, and inspection. He also spent five years working in the American automotive industry. The author of multiple books and numerous technical papers, Boljanovic has been widely recognized by both academia and industry for his contributions to manufacturing processes.

Applied Mathematical and Physical Formulas is an excellent resource for both the mathematically inclined and the mathematically challenged. It covers everything from the definition of a set to a formula for how heat transfers between plane surfaces. The short chapter on the mathematics of finances is exceptionally useful, and any math student at any level will find its simple presentations of arithmetic, algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and calculus helpful. For engineers, the many useful equations relating to mechanics, temperature, light, fluids, and electricity and magnetism will make this a pocket book literally to be carried in a pocket everywhere. Great resource.

Having this book is a must for an engineer, but also for any scientist in natural sciences, for a grad or undergrad student. It contains all important formulas that we usually do not memorize, organized in a compact way and transparent to use. Furthermore, with the instructions how to use the formulas the author guide us with easiness through the book content, providing in a text=book manner a new depth in understanding of applied mathematical and physical sciences.
