Great prep book!

This book is extremely helpful in prepping for the CBEST. I used it extensively prior to taking the exam and am quite glad that I did, considering the depth of material tested. I hadn't done some of that math in over 15 years. Having said that - I just wanted to forewarn anyone who purchases this edition to be aware that there's actually an answer error in the first practice test. I notified the Princeton Review and they are adjusting the problem. Here is their response:
"Thank you for bringing this to our attention! We apologize for the inconvenience and confusion this caused. You're correct-- question #24 should read D. Please see our Book Corrections list attached to this email where we address this misprint.
Thanks again for taking the time to email us and best of luck with your preparation for the CBEST!"

Very good CBEST test prep help

I used this book to help me prepare for and pass the CBEST test and get my California teaching credentials. I like that this book has very detailed topic reviews. It was very helpful but I found it necessary to use other study guides (the Teaching Solutions CBEST book and the Cliff notes CBEST book) to make sure I covered as much information as possible for the test. The CBEST book from teaching solutions has very good practice tests. This strategy to use more than one study guide worked for me as I did pass when I took the test.

A Great Guide!

I bought this book because it was so highly reviewed. I glad I made that choice. I studied the Reading and Mathematics section the last four days and took my test via computer today. I got a 52 on the English and a 62 on the Math, I just have to wait for my essay results. I glossed over the essay review because I felt confident in the essay department.
The reason I gave this test 4 stars is because the math section had me studying things that weren't on the test. Please believe them when they talk about time management. Do yourself a favor and time yourself when your doing the practice test. I got to see where I needed extra time. When I took the test I spent an hour and ten minutes on the reading, an hour and twenty on the math and 30 minutes for each essay. I had plenty of time to review my essay and problems I flagged. Now I just need to sit and wait for my essay results.
