About the Author
Ori Schibi is President of PM Konnectors, a Toronto-based privately held corporation. This author and speaker is an instructor and part-time professor, Project Management Professional (PMP), and certified PRINCE2 (Practitioner), with an MBA from York University. He co-founded the PMI Southern Ontario Chapter Business Analysis Community.
Ori is a thought-leader and subject matter expert with over 25 years of experience in driving operational and process improvements, software implementations, and complex programs to stabilize business, create growth and value, and lead sustainable change. An underlying theme in Ori's work is value creation through establishing collaborative relations between business and IT and with customers, bridging gaps and building partnerships, and getting teams to focus on the main goals of creating value and customer satisfaction.
In addition to the success of his consulting and training work, Mr. Schibi's book, Managing Stakeholder Expectations for Project Success (2013) was recognized as a publication that significantly advances project management knowledge, concepts, and practice; and was nominated for PMI's coveted 2013 David I. Cleland Project Management Literature Award.
Cheryl Lee is a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) and Project Management Professional (PMP), with an Honors Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Toronto.

Cheryl and Ori nail it! It's readily apparent that they've done their research and developed a book that focuses on a critical need in the industry. If you want to learn about the practice of Business Analysis then I recommend you read "Business Analysis for Practitioners: A Practice Guide" but if you are a BA or a PM and want to learn how to collaborate better with your partner to drive better business outcomes for your organization then "Effective PM and BA Role Collaboration; Delivering Value through Projects and Programs Successfully" is an essential book to add to your professional development library. I started reading my copy this weekend and appreciate Cheryl and Ori's perspective and experiences as well as the research and thought they put into developing the book. Well done!

This is a great book/tool for those who are either project manager or business analyst that want to improve upon their skill sets. The book incorporates what are the best practices for each role and is well written because the co-authors are able to write from the perspectives of a PM (Ori) and BA (Cheryl) because that's what they are, that's the job they've done for many years and it shows in the writing. While you can read this from end to end, the authors themselves state that one can reference the individual chapters as needed which is where I think this book shines as it is to me an even better reference. Were one to make a class on this type of material, I would offer this book as the course textbook.
