The Martian analysis

I'd planned to read "The Martian" (the original book that this one analyses) for about a year after I'd heard about it, and I rushed to actually get to it when I'd heard it was coming out soon as a Matt Damon movie. It's for sure one of the top 3 books I've read this year.
So, if you enjoyed Andy Weir's The Martian (whether you've finished it or you're still reading it) you'll enjoy this analysis of his novel. It's been a few months since I read it and it was fun to revisit it. There's the usual stuff you'd find in an analysis or sidekick book: summary of the main characters and chapter-by-chapter action.
What made this analysis stand out for me was the discussion of the NASA's manned Mars missions (canceled after funding was cut in 2010), the story of how this book came to be in the first place (it started as a 99 cent Kindle book so it's a 50 Shades of Grey type of story from an author who actually deserves it for a change). It also turned me on to other books by Andy Weir I'm going to check out.

A rip-off

A virulent little parasite threw a few disjointed words together in attempt to capitalise on one of the better books this decade. This despicable apology for a person deserves to have Trump as a supervisor for life.
It is always possible that this person's output is just as good for us as tobacco, (but a fair bit less habit forming) so I will grudgingly award one star. If it were possible to award less, or even negative, stars a recount would immediately be in order.
It would be fair to say I disliked this so-called analysis, which could be definitely improved if the pages were perforated beside the binding.

Great read

The Martian without Mars would be like Harry Potter without Hogwarts o Game of Thrones without westeros. Not at all like those stories of undertakings, on the other hand, Mark's trip happens through a territory of fact and not dream. I just loved the book. It was an exciting read overall.
